The leadership team behind Servant Stage is a group of friends with decades of combined experience as professional performers, directors, musicians, and organizational leaders. Today, we count it a privilege to serve passionately alongside each other as collaborators with our community in the growing mission of Servant Stage.

 

JOHNATHAN BAUER | EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Johnathan lives in Strasburg with his wife, Rebecca, and children, Gabriel and Jubilee. Originally from Maine, he came to Lancaster in 2008 to work as a performer with Sight & Sound Theatres. He fell in love with Lancaster County and has stayed in the area ever since, working as a performer or director with most of the local theatre companies. Johnathan and Rebecca started Servant Stage in 2011, and have been involved in every Servant Stage production since. WALLY CALDERON | ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Originally from Green Bay, WI, Wally earned his BFA in Music Theatre Performance and Direction from Ohio Northern University. For over 15 years, Wally traveled the country as a freelance performer, director, and choreographer. Notable stays include the Miracle Theatre in Pigeon Forge, TN, The Palace Theatre in Manchester, NH, Hershey Park, and the highly credited Stagedoor Manor in upstate New York. Wally moved to Lancaster in 2012 where he spent five amazing years holding multiple positions at Sight & Sound Theatres. TYLER HOOVER | MANAGING DIRECTOR

Tyler is a Lancaster County native and has been involved in the regional arts scene for more than fifteen years. Tyler has been blessed to serve as an actor, director, writer, and composer with a number of local theatre companies including Servant Stage, Sight & Sound Theatres, Piercing Word, and PRiMA. Tyler holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Music Theory & Composition from West Chester University and resides in Lititz with his wife, Sandra, and their children, Evelyn and Declan. “With gratitude to God, our fantastic audiences and supporters, and all who make Servant Stage possible!” 1 Peter 4:10-11 contact Tyler

NATHAN CLAYCOMB | DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Nathan is no stranger to the stage. He and his wife, Denise, have more than 30 years combined experience in live theatre. Most recently, they worked at Sight & Sound Theatres® both backstage and serving guests. Nathan is a Bedford, PA native and began acting in regional theatre at age 14. He's never lost his passion for the arts and is excited to help expand the reach of Servant Stage Company. Nathan and Denise live in Strasburg with their sons, Ephram and Ethan. LAUREN GROFF | TOURING MANAGER

Lauren Groff, a Lancaster local, graduated from Liberty University with a BS Interdisciplinary degree, merging Theater, Ministry, and Psychology. The years since has kept her busy whether teaching acting and voice (Creative Pursuits Studio, Lancaster Academy for the Performing Arts, Cavod Academy), staffing summer camps (LAPA, Cavod Academy, Servant Stage Company), or directing shows (LAPA, Veritas Academy, Locust Grove). Lauren has performed at local theaters such as Servant Stage Company, Cavod Theatre, Reji Woods Productions, Piercing Word, Steitz City Players, Popovsky Performing Arts, and Fulton Theatre. LILY BROWN | ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Lily Brown was born and raised in Lancaster County. She began her theatrical career as a set painter with Cavod Academy and has painted sets, worked backstage, and stage managed many productions since 2015. Over half of her credits include Servant Stage shows. She was so humbled for the opportunity to become the Servant Stage administrative assistant in 2017. “It is such a blessing to be surrounded by people who make these productions so amazing.
