"Wally Calderon, artistic director with Servant Stage Company, admits that there is an element of preconception in staging "Titanic," the 1997 musical with music and lyrics by Maury Yeston and a book by Peter Stone. "There is no surprise ending," said Calderon of the musical that has been on his shortlist of shows for some time.

Calderon loves the show because of its "character-driven depiction" of the historical events and the stories it tells that draw audience members into the story.
