Meet the Cast & Crew of
"Embraceable You: Rhapsody in Gershwin"

Brandon Cameron is from the South Jersey area and has been performing across the Tri-County area for over eight years. His most recent engagements include Deck The Halls at The American Music Theatre, Children Of Eden with Prima Theatre and he has also performed at Sight & Sound. He is actively training in voice, dance and acting. This is Brandon's third show with Servant Stage. He previously performed in the Old-Time Gospel Radio Hour as well as HMS Pinafore and is thrilled to be returning. Michael Popovsky is thrilled to be on stage with Servant Stage for this second show. Michael is equally comfortable performing musical theatre, opera, oratorio and standards. Last scene with Servant Stage in Forever Plaid, he has also appeared on stage with such companies as Opera Naples (Fl.), Fulton Theatre, Opera Delaware, Gretna Theatre, Lancaster Chamber Singer, Opera Lancaster, Delaware Valley Opera Company, Bootless Stageworks, and many more. Favorite roles include Anatoly (Chess), Schaunard (La Boheme), Harold Hill (Music Man), Satan (Jerry Springer the Opera), Silvio (Pagliacci), Cinderella’s Prince/Wolf (Into the Woods), Marullo (Rigoletto),  Snoopy (You’re a Good Man…) and Lesgles (Les Miserables). When not on stage, Michael is the Owner and Director of Popovsky Performing Arts (PPAS). He is a member of the voice faculty at PPAS and has also produced, directed or music directed dozens of productions for various organizations ranging from community to professional. He has studied with the late International Master Teacher of Singing, Dr. Thomas Houser, Francois Loup, Robert Edwin, John Darrenkamp, Gwynne Geyer and Lorraine Ernest. Sarah Zahn is so grateful to be a part of Servant Stage and this gorgeous production of Embraceable You... Originally from Iowa, Sarah’s first acting role was as Meryl Streep’s daughter in film version of The Bridges of Madison County. She studied theater and music in college and has enjoyed the pursuit of performing ever since. Other favorite roles include Amalia in She Loves Me and Marian in The Music Man. So much love to her family, especially Andrew and Kate. Thank you for coming and enjoy the show!

Daniel Stargel (Director) is privileged to be a part of Servant Stage Company! A Florida native, he stumbled into acting after receiving a degree in music from Florida Southern College and hasn't look back, performing for over a decade at venues from here to Alaska. Servant Stage patrons will recognize him from last season’s Old-Time Gospel Radio Hour (featured soloist) and A Christmas Carol (the creaky door/Bob Crachit), and local theater-goers may recognize him from Bird in Hand Stage's Josiah for President (Mark) and PRiMA's Children of Eden (Adam). Daniel's directing credits include PRiMA's Rockin' Rodgers and Hammerstein, Children of Eden (assistant), and Servant Stage's Old-Time Gospel Radio Hour (assistant),  He is also an original cast member and the full-time Company Manager locally for the Bird in Hand Stage. His most cherished roles, though, are husband to his wife, Rachel, and father to his two children, Eliana and Uriah. James 1:17

Courtney Harris (Stage Manager) is absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to stage manage Gershwin! A few other stage management credits include A Christmas Carol, Forever Plaid, HMS Pinafore, and The Importance of Being Earnest with Servant Stage, Fiddler on the Roof (LBC), Pride & Prejudice (LAPA), and most recently Music Man with Lancaster Bible College. She is currently in her freshman year at LBC for a major in live production. Courtney would like to thank Johnathan, Daniel, Wally, and the rest of the cast and crew for another show well done. Emily Homburger is thrilled to continue performing in the Lancaster area. She's been in Les Miserables (Ensemble) and Mary Poppins: The Extracalifragilistic Experience (Mary Poppins) at the Fulton Theatre. She also spent the last year studying at the Sight & Sound Conservatory along with performing in Sight & Sound shows. (Moses, Joseph, Miracle of Christmas) She is so excited to be a part of her first Servant Stage production and thankful for the wonderful opportunity!

Holly Wert is delighted to be performing again with Servant Stage Company! She was last seen as Josephine in Servant Stage’s production of HMS Pinafore. In addition to her full time role as mommy to Stella and Margot, Holly currently works for the Sight & Sound Conservatory and does voiceover work for local production companies. She performed as an actor for many years at Sight & Sound in such productions as Noah, Miracle of Christmas, Ruth, Daniel, Behold the Lamb and Psalms of David. Other credits include Guys and Dolls, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Fiddler on the Roof and HMS Pinafore with The Ohio Light Opera. Holly received her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance degree from Maywood University.

Ric Zimmerman is excited to be appearing in another Servant Stage Company production! A Lancaster native, Ric has performed in numerous American Music Theatre and Sight & Sound Theatres shows, and has been seen at the Fulton Theatre, and Prima Theatre. He was the founder/director of the Celebration Singers. Ric has had the privilege of singing with Christian artists Steve Green, Dino, Wayne Watson, and conducted the orchestra for the Mandrell sisters and Celeste Holmes. He also toured with The Continentals throughout the US, Canada, Korea, and Taiwan, and Japan.

Andy Roberts (Music Director) grew up in Lebanon Pennsylvania and attended Berklee College of Music (Boston, Massachusetts). His influences range from jazz greats Fats Waller, Bud Powell, and Chick Corea to rockers like Professor Longhair and Rick Wakeman. He incorporates all of these music genres into his own compositions and improvisations. In the theater world, Andy has been music director for the American Music Theatre since 2010. He also enjoy’s music directing original shows for Prima Theatre and more recently, with Servant Stage Company, and their unique brand of inspiring and educational theater. Andy is the long time music-director for the Timbers Dinner Theater in Mount Gretna. It is home base for Andy and his family.

Wally Calderon (Choreographer) is originally from Green Bay, WI and holds a BFA in Music Theatre Performance and Directing from Ohio Northern University. He has spent over 15 years around the country as a freelance performer, director, and choreographer before landing in Lancaster, PA. He works with several theatre companies in the Lancaster area, and is so happy to be working with Servant Stage again (Music of America, Old-Fashioned Christmas, Old-Time Gospel, Forever Plaid, HMS Pinafore). Thanks to this amazing cast, JB and Becca, Daniel, Andy, and my lovely wife Andrea and gift of a daughter Joyanna for love and support.
