Meet the Cast
of Forever Plaid!

Ric Zimmerman (Jinx) is excited to be appearing in his first Servant Stage Company production. A Lancaster native, Ric has performed in numerous American Music Theatre and Sight & Sound Theatres shows, and has been seen at the Fulton Theatre, and Prima Theatre. He was the founder/director of the Celebration Singers. Ric has had the privilege of singing with Christian artists Steve Green, Dino, Wayne Watson, and conducted the orchestra for the Mandrell sisters and Celeste Holmes. He also toured with The Continentals throughout the US, Canada, Korea, and Taiwan, and Japan.

Seth Garrett Antes (Frankie) is overjoyed to share the stage with such a great company and cast. This is his fifth production with Servant Stage Company, having appeared in An Old-Fashioned Christmas, The Importance of Being Earnest, and Old-Time Gospel Radio Hour (twice). He has also performed locally with Piercing Word Ministries and at the Fulton Theatre. Soli Deo Gloria.

Wally Calderon (Sparky, Director) is originally from Green Bay, WI and holds a BFA in Music Theatre Performance and Directing from Ohio Northern University. He has spent over 10 years around the country as a freelance performer, director, and choreographer before landing in Lancaster, PA. He works with several theatre companies in the Lancaster area, and is so happy to be directing again with Servant Stage production (Music of America, Old-Fashioned Christmas, Old-Time Gospel Radio). “Thanks to my lovely wife Andrea and gift of a daughter Joyanna for love and support. All the Glory to God for the amazing gifts and opportunities He has given me!” Psalms 149:3

Michael Lapham (Smudge) is horrified to don Plaid once again! His first “plaid” experience being a pair of bell-bottomed, hand-me-downs he had to wear throughout the third grade. Luckily he outgrew them quickly.  Since then though Michael has enjoyed many “colorful” venues but most recently finishing with Noah in 2013 and helping portray Moses last year at Sight and Sound Theaters. Some other great “crisscrossing” opportunities included the 80’s Relived show put on by Prima and “weaving” a creative monologue about William Booth’s life in The Vision. Michael will sometimes instruct young theater students in acting and stage combat, teaching the finer points of wielding a Scottish claymore, but most of all he enjoys the creative process with solid friends and local talent. Being thankful to Servant Stage for this Forever Plaid opportunity as Smudge he can’t wait to give the low notes the credit they deserve. Oh, and perhaps give plaid a second shot as well!

Justin Mazzella (Jinx), Pennsylvania born, grew up in Charleston, South Carolina. Throughout his middle and high school years he grew up in theater, performing in the Charleston Youth Company for six years before graduating. With the intent of teaching in a public school setting, Justin attended Newberry College, also in South Carolina, and finished his undergrad with a bachelor’s degree in Music Education. The summer before his senior year he appeared as Tony in West Side Story which inspired him to persue his career in performance once again. His passion for music and performance propels him into furthering his career as an actor and musician. Now Justin works as an actor at Sight & Sound Theatres and will continue pursuing music and performance.

Michael Popovsky (Frankie) Servant Stage Company debut. Michael has appeared on stage with such companies as Opera Naples (Fl.), Fulton Theatre, Gretna Theatre, Lancaster Chamber Singers, OperaLancaster, Delaware Valley Opera Co., Bootless Stageworks, and more. Tyler Hoover (Sparky) is thrilled to be making his Servant Stage debut! Tyler has been blessed to work with several of the area’s theatre companies including Sight & Sound Theatres, PRiMA, and has most recently enjoyed serving as a performer, director, and composer for several productions with Piercing Word. Tyler graduated from West Chester University in 2013 with a degree in Music Theory & Composition and has enjoyed working as a freelance composer and performer in the region. Tyler is passionate about storytelling, through a variety of mediums, as a means to point people to the greatest story of all: the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Tyler is married to his best friend, greatest gift, and #1 fan – Sandra. Many thanks to Johnathan and Wally for this opportunity!

Shaun Ressler (Smudge) is thrilled to perform for the first time with Servant Stage Company. He is a Lancaster resident and graduate of Millersville University with a BS in Computer Science and a BA in Music Business and Technology. Shaun was last seen on stage as the Purser and a member of the Sailor Quartet in Popovsky Performing Arts Studio’s production of Anything Goes. He has also performed with OperaLancaster, Ephrata Performing Arts Center, Hershey Area Playhouse, and even on stage twice at Carnegie Hall with the No Borders Youth Chorus.
