Meet the Cast of The Civil War

Carl Anderson is delighted to work another show with Servant Stage. He's a graduate from the University of the Arts with a BFA in Acting. He's currently in the ensemble for the production of Jonah at Sight & Sound Theatres. Carl thanks God for the gift to perform & his beautiful wife Charlene for her love & support!

Stephen Baker is overjoyed to be working with Servant Stage in Civil War, his second show with the company. Stephen has been on stage in some form or another since he was 10 years old, starting as a child actor at Sight & Sound Theatres where he played young roles for four of their productions. In 2015, he graduated from Sight & Sound Conservatory where he performed alongside the casts of Moses, Joseph, and Miracle of Christmas. The following season he was then hired to perform in their production of Samson. He currently serves as Worship Leader at Tri-County Worship Center in Bethel, PA and could have been seen most recently in the theatre world as Laurie in Servant Stage's production of Little Women.

Jacob Daniel Cummings is beyond excited to be in Civil War with so many talented people. He is thrilled to be performing again with Servant Stage, after being a part of Old-Time Radio Gospel Hour (2015 & 2016.) Jacob was most recently seen performing with Sight & Sound Theatre in Samson (Jair). He has been blessed to be a part of Moses, Joseph, and Miracle of Christmas at S&S. He has also been involved in many Servant Stage Co, PRiMA, & freelance projects in the area. Jacob is currently in Piercing Word's Passion the Musical. Many thanks to his supportive friends and family, and, ultimately, God!

Daniel Gorham Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Daniel's professional career began with the Municipal Opera Company of Baltimore in their production of La Boheme. Some of his favorite roles include Pirates of Penzance (The Pirate King), Carmen (Zuniga), Cendrillon (Baron Pictordu) and Aida (Amonasro). He was recently seen in the National Tour of Ragtime (Ensemble, U/S Coalhouse Walker Jr.) with Phoenix Entertainment. Other credits include Sight & Sound Theatres where he has performed for five seasons and is currently in their production of Jonah as King Ashurdan III. He would like to thank his parents, James and Linda, for their love and support. All glory to God!

Lindsey Aeriel Grimble is excited to finally be apart of the Servant Stage family. She is originally from Springfield, IL and studied Musical Theatre at The American Musical & Dramatic Academy in NYC. Lindsey stars in the award-winning short film Carry Me Home alongside War Room's Karen Abercrombie. Ray Hilton Originally from the great state of Texas and graduate of East Texas Baptist University, Ray is excited to be joining Servant Stage for the first time. He has performed at various theaters in Texas, Georgia and here in PA. Recent credits include Edward Bloom in Big Fish: The Musical, and Scarecrow in Oz In Concert (Prima); the Barker in Samson and Nomti in Joseph (Sight & Sound). Other favorite roles of his have been Office Barrel (Urinetown), Ira Stone (Laughter On the 23rd Floor), Edgar Beane (Titanic The Musical), and Benedick (Much Ado About Nothing). Joshua Keefer is thrilled to be making his Servant Stage Company debut in Civil War. After studying theatre, at Pensacola Christian College, in his native state of Florida, he moved to Lancaster, where he has been a regular in the theatre community. He has enjoyed working with local companies such as Sight & Sound Theatre, where he originated the role of Joseph in Joseph, Prima Theatre, Chess (Freddie), American Music Theatre, Crooners (Emcee). Jonah M. Martin Originally hailing from Rochester, NY, Jonah moved to Lancaster to study at Lancaster Bible College. He will graduate with a BFA in Musical Theatre and has enjoyed the ride so far. This will be his second Servant Stage performance and was blessed to be a Bluegrass Boy in last summer’s Old-Time Gospel Radio Hour. Offstage, he enjoys all manner of music, ice cream, and serving at Lancaster Alliance Church. 'Thank you, to all the teachers and mentors who never let me quit.' Joshua 1:9, SDG.

Kat Prickett is thrilled to return on stage with Servant Stage Company! Normally playing the role of Marketing Director behind the scenes, you may remember Kat from previous Servant Stage shows, like A Christmas Carol (Belle/Mrs. Cratchit, etc.), The Importance of Being Earnest (Gwendolyn), Music of America and the original Old-Time Gospel Radio Hour. Kat wears many hats in life; from singing and acting locally (PRiMA, Dutch Apple, EPAC) to film and TV work like Carry Me Home (Tracey Garrett). Kat spent eleven years as a television producer and on-air host before leaving her career to purchase The Red Caboose Motel & Restaurant in February 2016 with her husband, Tyler. Her greatest role to date is that of mom to Elijah Lee, who brings her so much joy! Thank you for supporting Servant Stage and to God be the Glory! Col 3:17
Terron Quailes is a native of Easton, Maryland. He received his B.A. in Music, with an emphasis in Vocal Performance, from Salisbury University. Terron has spent the last twelve years performing with a variety of community theater groups throughout the Eastern Shore area of Maryland. Favorite roles include Preacher Oedipus (The Gospel of Colonus), Utterson (Jekyll & Hyde), Mister (The Color Purple), Curtis Taylor (Dream Girls), and John (Miss Saigon). Terron is currently performing in the 2017 cast of Jonah at Sight & Sound Theatres. He is thrilled to be making his Servant Stage debut in The Civil War. Amber Renae is a proud Dallas, Texas native. She graduated with her BA in Theatre with an emphasis in Performing from The University of North Texas. She is the founder of A. Renae & Company, a traveling theatre troupe with the focus of ministry through theatre. She currently enjoys performing at Sight & Sound Theatres in the production of Jonah. Some of her favorite roles played have been Camae (The Mountaintop), Nettie (The Color Purple), and Effie White (Dreamgirls). This is her Servant Stage debut & she would like to dedicate this show to her biggest fan, her husband, Robert T Gibson. Thank you hunny for always supporting my dreams. Mina Thomas Hudson Valley New York Native Mina Thomas is a Jazz, Gospel and Soul Singer, recording artist, actress, songwriter and spoken word poet. Mina attended college at SUNY New Paltz where she earned her BS in Contemporary Music Studies and Jazz vocals in 2012. Since graduating from college, Mina has traveled across Europe on tour with The Golden Voices of Gospel in 2013 and performed with her band at various venues in NY. Mina is currently an actress at Sight & Sound Theater performing in their production of Jonah.
Matthew Wilhelm is excited to rejoin Servant Stage for The Civil War after performing in this year's Little Women and 2016’s Sherlock Holmes and Joy to the World. Since attending the Sight & Sound Conservatory in 2015, where he performed in Moses, Joseph, and Miracle of Christmas, Matthew has worked with Piercing Word in Sermon on the Mount, Jonah, and The Passion as well as with Maryland Entertainment Group.
Jennifer Wolcott hails from Marion, IN and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance and a Masters of Music in Opera and Musical Theatre. She has performed in venues all over the world from Egypt, to Greece, to Branson, MO. She is currently performing in Sight and Sound Theatres production of Jonah as well as serving as their Dance Captain. She would like to thank Wally for his constant encouragement and support artistically and the whole Servant Stage team for this awesome opportunity! Luke 17:10.

Japheal Bondurant grew up in Ohio where he attended Ashland University for musical theater. Recent Roles include Shopkeeper/Ensemble in Jonah at Sight & Sound Theatres, William Barfee in CATCO’s The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Eat Moe in CATCO’s Five Guys Named Moe and Motor-Mouth Maybelle in Imagine Production’s Hairspray. Japheal is more than excited to take on new artistic challenges and be involved in Servant Stage.

Brittany Adair Beitzel is thrilled to be on stage this year in another Servant Stage Company production singing such beautiful music!  She's been seen around Lancaster for the past five years on various stages, including Sight and Sound Theatres, Servant Stage Company and Prima Theatre Company and feels so blessed for each opportunity she gets to do what she truly loves. Thanks to my husband Aaron, who is my pure joy on this earth.

Nathan Cooney is honored to be joining Servant Stage again and excited for the opportunity to work with this amazing group of artists. Audience members may remember him from the 2016 Old-Time Gospel Radio Hour. Originally from Baltimore, he has been performing professionally in the Lancaster area over the last 10 years. Some of his favorite shows include Music of the Night at American Music Theater; Burt and Me at the Gretna Playhouse; and Monster Music with Prima Theater Co. He is currently in one of his favorite shows, Jonah, at Sight & Sound Theaters. 
Briana Franklin is originally from Maryland, but spent the year of 2016 in the Lancaster area attending the Sight & Sound Conservatory where she was taught how to develop her dancing, singing, and acting skills. During that year, she also performed in Sight & Sound's Samson. Before that, she graduated from Prince George's Community College with an Associates in Music. She is looking forward to continuing to pursue musical theatre as a career, but also has a heart for opera and would love to see where that could take her. She is so thankful for the opportunity to be apart of her first Servant Stage production alongside such an amazingly talented cast and production team!
Joshua William Green is an actor, singer, dancer from Youngstown, Ohio. He grew up as a member of the Archangel Dance Theater and toured internationally with the Youngstown Connection in High School. He attended The American Musical Dramatic Academy in New York and Youngstown State University for Musical theater. Most recently, Joshua has been in The national tour of Ragtime (Booker T. Understudy) and Jonah at Sight & Sound Theatres. Being new to the Lancaster area, this is Joshua's first production with Servant Stage and he is very excited and blessed to join the team.

Josh Harnish is excited to join the Civil War cast in this, his first, (on stage) Servant Stage show. He has been doing creative work for the last 11 years here in Lancaster. He is an actor, singer/songwriter, director and producer. His original work has included 3 one-act musicals: Lifted (2010), Fear Not (2014), and Peace (2016). Thanks to Johnathan, Wally, Tyler and the entire Servant Stage team for this opportunity. All the love in my heart to my two favorites; Jaclyn and Hosea. (Philippians 2:13)

Nicole Horton is so excited to be a part of Civil War and sing music she's been in love with since high school! A Wisconsin native she has called Lancaster home for over 3 years now! In her time here, Nicole has performed with Sight & Sound Theatres (currently Jonah), Servant Stage, Prima, Piercing Word, and Reji Woods Productions. She also directs at Veritas Academy. Nicole holds a BFA in musical theatre performance from Western Michigan University. Other favorite roles include: Cathy in The Last Five Years, Anna in The King and I, Dot/Marie in Sunday and the Park with George, and Kathy in Singin in the Rain. For my Dad. John 14:1-3.
Cassandra Johnson is thrilled to be making her Servant Stage debut in Civil War. Originally from Benson, Minnesota, she is loving life in Lancaster. Some of her favorite roles include Diana Morales in A Chorus Line, Rusty in Footloose, and most recently, Esther in Samson at Sight & Sound Theatres. Currently, she is a part of the cast of Jonah at Sight & Sound. Thank you to my amazingly supportive family, friends, and my Jacob. Galatians 5:22-26

Paul Marini of New Holland is excited to have the opportunity - nay the privilege - of being a part of the Servant Stage family and to perform this incredible work with such incredible people! Paul is blessed to have had the opportunity to perform for over ten years with his family and more recently study and perform with various theatre and film companies. Justin Mazzella is thrilled to be back in Lancaster and working with Servant Stage once again. Previously, he enjoyed being a part of their productions of Forever Plaid and H.M.S Pinafore. Mazzella is also currently in the cast of Jonah over at Sight & Sound theaters. Before returning to Lancaster, he was recently a resident actor over in Hammonton, New Jersey, at The Eagle Theatre for their past season. Lancaster has always felt like home to Mazzella, and he could not be more excited to be a part of The Civil War with this incredible group of people. “Thankful to my mother for getting me here, my extended family for their constant support, and my girlfriend Kelly for her love and support from afar.”

Lisa Stewart Born in Lancaster, PA, Lisa began her performing career at the age of 10, when she was hired as a studio singer for the PBS program Barney & Friends. She has appeared as an ensemble member in six productions at Sight & Sound Theatres in Strasburg, PA. Lisa’s favorite roles have been as Elizabeth in Miracle of Christmas and Mary in Behold the Lamb. For more than 15 years, Lisa has used her musical gifts and her love for Jesus Christ as a worship leader in several Lancaster-area churches. Lisa loves people, music, and the theater, and she is thankful for the opportunity to express those loves in the Servant Stage production of The Civil War.

Holly Wert is honored to be performing alongside an incredible cast on such an inspiring project with Servant Stage Company! Holly has been performing in the Lancaster area for the past decade (or so) with theatre companies such as Sight & Sound, Servant Stage Company, and OperaLancaster. Most recently, Holly was a featured soloist in OperaLancaster’s concert production of Puccini’s chamber opera, Suor Angelica. In addition to performing on stage, Holly enjoys doing voiceover and on-camera work for local production companies. Her main role is mommy to daughters, Stella and Margot, but also works for Sight & Sound Conservatory. Some favorite credits include HMS Pinafore (Josephine), The Miracle of Christmas (Mary), Guys and Dolls (Sarah Brown). Holly graduated from Maywood University with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance.
Wes Wise studied voice at The Baltimore School for the Arts. He has been performing with many different theatres throughout Maryland and Pennsylvania, including Prima and Sight & Sound Theatres. He recently was a part of the World Premiere of MotonesVsJerseys in Colorado and is a founding member of the group Boardwalk Brothers. Past Credits include: Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar; Defying Gravity: A Night with Stephen Schwartz; Ren in Footloose; Billy Bigalow in Carousel; Lumiere in Beauty & The Beast; Tommy Albright in Brigadoon. He and his wife, Lauren, are also worship leaders and founders of FireWithinWorship.
Sarah Zahn is thrilled to be a part of this epic production of The Civil War! Sarah was seen last year in SSC's production of Embraceable You: Rhapsody in Gershwin and recently performed a solo concert of Maury Yeston's December Songs at the Hershey Area Playhouse. Wally Calderon (Artistic Director)  Originally from Green Bay, WI, Wally earned his BFA in Music Theatre Performance and Direction from Ohio Northern University. For over 15 years  Wally traveled the country as a freelance performer, director, and choreographer. Notable stays include the Miracle Theatre in Pigeon Forge, TN, The Palace Theatre in Manchester, NH, Hershey Park, and the highly credited Stagedoor Manor in upstate New York. For the last 5 years, Wally has worked at Sight & Sound Theatres in multiple positions. “Special thanks to my wonderful wife Andrea and sweetest daughter Joyanna for their love and support. Jordanne Brodersen (Stage Manager) is a 2017 graduate of Lampeter Strasburg High School. There she stage managed several productions including Annie Get Your Gun, Pippin, Arsenic and Old Lace, and High School Musical. She has also been the secretary and president of the Lampeter Strasburg Thespian Society. Additionally, she has worked with PRiMA Theatre as an assistant stage manager. She hopes to continue theatre and pursue stage management as a career.

Courtney Harris (Stage Manager) is elated to be back with Servant Stage Company after taking a short break! Previous stage management credits with Servant Stage include Sherlock, Old-Time Gospel Radio Hour (2016), Rhapsody in Gershwin, A Christmas Carol, Forever Plaid, HMS Pinafore, and The Importance of Being Earnest. Courtney has also stage managed for Popvosky Performing Arts Studio, Piercing Word, Lancaster Bible College, and Franklin & Marshall College. She recently moved to Mount Joy with her family, and loves to spend her spare time baking any and all types of desserts. Many thanks to the production team, cast, and crew for an amazing process! Dan Deal (Costume Consultant)

A. Scott Williams (Music Director) started playing piano when he was seven years old and hasn’t stopped since. Currently he’s a freelance musician/music director performing all over Lancaster County. He has been music director for Prather Entertainment Group and Prather Touring for the last 10 years. Mr. Williams has music directed/conducted and played over 50 shows for PEG including the nationals tours Footloose, The Wedding Singer and Fiddler on the Roof. Originally from Chicago, he earned his BA in piano performance, and his MM in choral conducting. Mr. Williams was nominated twice for a Jeff Citation for best musical direction and received an After Dark Award for Best Music Director. He would like to give God the glory for his talent and passion for music.

Tanner Uffelman (Audio Assistant) is thankful God has blessed him with the opportunity to help in his second show with Servant Stage! He previously helped with sound for Servant Stage's production of Little Women. He has been involved with audio throughout high school and college both at his high school (plays, chapels, special events) and at his church (serving with the Youth and Main Service worship teams). He has also dabbled in acting, having been in numerous plays at his local Family Theatre- DreamWrights, along with a number of church productions. His favorite roles so far have been Robin Hood in DreamWrights' show Robin Hood and also Jim Hawkins in their version of Treasure Island. He wishes to thank his Heavenly Father, the Servant Stage staff, as well as the cast of Civil War for the blessing of this opportunity to further develop and express his passions for sound and theatre! He would also like to thank his family for support as he partners with SSC.
